3 out of 50 winners for the ‘Best Small Businesses Competition’ are from India

Best Small Businesses

The competition was held by the UN, for Small and Medium Enterprises, which provides the solution in improving access to healthy and sustainable food.

The Special Envoy of UN Secretary-General, Dr Agnes Kalibata said, “hidden champions of our food system, are the small food businesses, which are providing us food even in this pandemic.”

From 135 countries, more than 2000 applicants applied for the competition of ‘Best Small Businesses’. Out of which, 50 winners were selected and announced by the UN.

Three of them are India-based enterprises. The Oorja Development Solutions, Edible Routes Private Limited, and Taru Naturals.
