The rising petroleum prices have pushed fuel rates to record high in India, causing troubles for the Indian Government. Petroleum Minister Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri spoke to Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, concerning over the rising petroleum prices.

Saudi Arabia is one of the major petroleum suppliers for India and is the kingpin of Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Mr. Puri in his tweet, stated that the discussions were focused on strengthening bilateral energy partnerships and developments.

India is the third largest consumer of petroleum and crude oil in the world. Looking at country’s dependency over the oil import, hike in fuel prices may trigger the inflammation in the country.
