On his first trip 3-day trip to Saudi as External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar reached Riyadh on Saturday. While emphasizing the importance of strategic economic amendments, India and Saudi Arabia, holding a tone of collaboration, he said, “Promise of shared growth, prosperity, stability, security and development”.
Prince Saud Al Faisal while interacting with the Institute of Diplomatic Studies, mentioned “This collaboration underlines the importance of India-Saudi strategic relationship at a time when the world is at crossroads”
While interacting with the Indian community on Saturday, Jaishankar adds “We saw our international friendship that delivers at that point of time, Saudi Arabia becomes very useful as it provides with supplies of oxygen during the two years of Covid in the country”
Talking about the current geopolitical situation world is facing many challenges with rising food and other shipping prices under the Ukraine crisis. He adds,” We are still very confident that India will be facing the fastest growing major economy in the world, leading to almost 7% growth”
