Adani Group Takes Over the Management Control of Mumbai Airport.

Gautam Adani-led Adani Group took over the Mumbai International Airport becoming the largest airport company in India. Before this, GVK Group was managing the Mumbai Airport. Adani Group now holds the 33% of India’s air cargo traffic. 

Adani Group now has 8 airports under their authority. As per the statement from Adani Group, both central and state governments along with the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) have given the permission. 

The construction of Navi Mumbai Airport will start from the next month and the financial closure will take place in the next 90 days. Before this, the group had taken over the Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangaluru airports too.
