Air India to get New Owner by October 15

Today, the business channel CNBC-TV18 reported that the sale bidding process for Air India, the national carrier stake, might get completed by October 15. The sources informed CNBC-TV18 that the government is working towards announcing the winning bid for Air India by October 15.

The financial bidding for the airline is expected to be opened on 29th September. The sources revealed to CNBC-TV18, “Tatas are being seen as the front runners for Air India divestment.”

When the bidding will be over, the winner to take over Air India will get the control of 1,800 international landing and 4,400 parking slots at domestic airports. The winner will also get 900 slots at airports overseas.
