Anand Mahindra’s Acclaim for an IIT-Madras Startup Creating An Electric Flying Taxi

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, stated that IIT Madras is now one of the most “exciting and active incubators” in the world.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras startup that is creating an electric flying taxi has received praise from Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, who described the university as one of the most “exciting and active incubators” in the world.

“A company is being incubated at IIT Madras to build a flying electric taxi by sometime next year,” Mahindra posted on X.

Thanking the organization, he went on to say that India “is no longer seen as a country that lacks genuine innovators” because of the quickly expanding number of aspirational incubators around the nation.

“Audacious aspirations matter. Accept no limits,” Mr Mahindra wrote.

IIT Madras said earlier this week that during the fiscal year 2023–24, it raised an unprecedented amount of financing from its alumni, industry, and individual donors—₹ 513 crore.
During FY24, the institute also received fresh pledges totaling ₹ 717 crore from business partners and alumni.
