At a press conference on March 14, Power Minister Satyendar Jain revealed that Delhi would soon have the largest auto charging station network in the country and the cheapest charging rates in the country.
Jain added that his government had issued a tender for the installation of 500 electric vehicle charging points or 100 charging stations, which will be completed in the next three months.
The minister stated that the 100 charging stations, totaling 500 charging points, will be operational and open to the public on June 27. Furthermore, EV owners will be charged Rs 2 per unit for charging their vehicles, compared to Rs 10-15 in other states.
