Deepinder Goyal, Zomato’s founder and CEO, proposed a new identity and purpose for the food delivery firm, even after the company faced significant sell-off pressure last week.

The Goyal’s note, written last week, had been posted on the company’s slack channel when the shareholders approved the acquisition with Blinkit. It is a grocery delivery startup was previously known as Grofers.

Goyal also shared a message, “Now that the company and Blinkit deal has been approved, so they have three companies linked, i.e., Zomato, Blinkit, and Hyperpure, to increase the size of the business. Moreover, these three firms also have Feeding India. Now, we are on the stage of life where we are growing from running a single business to running multiple large companies.”

Further, he added, “We are transforming from a company where I was the CEO to a space where we will have multiple CEOs running each of our businesses. We all are intervening as an observer to each other and working as a great team to build one large and flawless organization. And from today onwards, we will call this larger organization ‘Eternal’.”
