Gamezop powers Royal Challengers Bangalore foray into e-gaming

  • The gaming startup now enables instant gaming within 1,800 popular apps and websites
  • Over 400 of these partnerships have been signed in the past six months

New Delhi, November 2, 2020: Gamezop, India’s largest HTML5 gaming company with over 40 Mn monthly active users, has partnered with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to introduce instant gaming and drive engagement on RCB’s mobile app. This significant association corroborates Gamezop’s growing  momentum of enabling gaming within marquee products, with the company inking over 400 deals in the past six months. In August this year, Gamezop announced its Series A financing round led by BITKRAFT Ventures.

Through its mobile app, RCB has built a digital community where their fans can consume content, interact with each other, and engage with the RCB players throughout the year. With this partnership, Gamezop will bring over 250 globally popular games for this community. Aside from popular cricket games, the Gamezop catalogue will feature top titles across football, pool, racing, ludo, sudoku, bubble shooter, and endless runners.

Gamezop powers gaming within 1,800 popular digital products worldwide, including OTT platforms, news portals, content and short video apps, browsers, e-commerce giants, and blogs. The Gamezop integration comes without any cost for partnering apps and websites, and introduces a multigame platform within their products where their users can play trending games instantly (instead of undergoing the friction of installing them). Time spent on gaming contributes to engagement time on these partners, and advertising revenue earned by Gamezop from these games is shared with them.

“Gamezop has always challenged the status quo to take quality entertainment to households across the country. Rather than pushing installs of a gaming app, each month we enable over 40 Mn users to play our instant games within their favorite apps. The Indian Premier League evokes the love for the sport across generations, and RCB is amongst the most livewire sports teams anywhere in the world. We are excited to work closely with the RCB team as they make gaming an integral offering for their fandom,” said Ayush Pandey, Business Development Manager, Gamezop, for this partnership.

Rajesh Menon, Head – Royal Challengers Bangalore, said, “Royal Challengers Bangalore works incessantly to design assets that build the ethos of the brand in congruence with sports and lifestyle, mounting into a business strategy to take the brand forward.  It is the fans who form the true force behind the franchise and every season we have ensured that the experiences we offer are designed for bringing fans closer to the RCB team and helping them celebrate the passion for cricket and playing bold. To keep the fans engaged and entertained on and off-field is something which we work on ardently and it will always be our top priority. We are glad to partner with Gamezop for this initiative and will work closely in this endeavour of bringing to fans an engaging gaming experience throughout the year.”
