EMoMee, an EQ-focused edutainment firm, raised $1 million in a pre-seed round led by Whiteboard Capital, Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund, and DeVC. EMoMee announced in a press release that the revenues will be used to launch its ‘first of its kind’ goods in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Pooja Jauhari, Varun Duggirala, and Suraksha Subhramaniam co-founded EMoMee in 2023 with the goal of unlocking emotional intelligence through an integrated ecosystem of skill-based play, tales, content, and other learning tools for children aged 2 to 7.
The brand empowers parents and caregivers to help their children develop emotional resilience and empathy, equipping them for a socially conscious future. According to market research, the global SEL market is projected to develop at a CAGR of 24.3% from 2021 to 2030.
The brand aims to assist create habits that lead to holistic emotional growth by providing well designed, age-appropriate skill-based play kits, goods, and a comprehensive content world centered on the three child characters E, Mo, and Mee. It plans to grow to middle schoolers and teenagers.
The firm is committed to unlocking emotional intelligence through an integrated ecosystem of skill-based play, storytelling, content, and other learning tools intended exclusively for children aged 2 to 7. The startup’s products aim to encourage the development of habits that lead to children’s overall emotional maturation. It also intends to broaden its services to include things for middle schoolers and teenagers.
