The daily rise in new coronavirus infections has now remained below 30,000 for 11 straight days.
On Tuesday (October 5, 2021) morning, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that India has registered 18,346 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest number in 209 days. The overall number of coronavirus infections in the country has now reached 3,38,53,048. The active count has now dropped to 2,52,902, the lowest in 201 days, according to the Union Health Ministry.
For the past 11 days, the daily increase in new coronavirus infections has stayed below 30,000. In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 11,556 cases.
