Instagram starts the monthly paid subscription testing with a few influencers and creators. It allows them to charge their followers for the exclusive content, live videos, stories, and purple badge next to their username. The purple badge can be seen whenever a follower interacts with the creator through DM or comments.

The announcement about this feature was made recently by Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri. The testing has started with very few creators from the US. Few users in India have spotted and reported about the feature testing. For now, the users from India can only see the feature but cannot buy the subscription.

This feature would help a lot of the influencers and creators as well as the company. The pricing of the subscription depends upon the content provided by the creator. The company promised to roll out this feature to every user as earliest as possible.
