Please tell us about the saga of your leadership from the beginning and how you have made J.P. Medical Centre excel in its niche.

I am a Consultant Pediatrician in Chandigarh and have an experience of 15 years in the field of caring for children. I practice at JP Medical Centre in Sector-19, Chandigarh. I have done MD MRCPCH (UK) FACEE, Pediatric Training AMC, Amsterdam. After which, training in Pediatric Echocardiography from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, and PGIMER, Chandigarh. I also did Neonatology training from PGIMER, Chandigarh.

I’m a Member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, London, the European Academy of Pediatrics, the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), and an Executive member of the IAP Chandigarh and Emergency Medicine Association.

Having worked in the Prime Government sector for over five years, I am a Consultant Pediatrician at JP Medical Centre, Chandigarh. My main Motto is “the healthy and happy childhood is the basis of a healthy and happy life”, and my main aim is to prevent disease. My main areas of Interest are Pediatric Infectious diseases and Vaccinology.

What was your inspiration behind venturing into the childcare niche?

Pediatrics is a branch that makes me happy all the time, and meeting kids and treating them and seeing their smiles is an inspiration in itself.

I treat each child as my child and do what I would like to do to my child and which makes me confident that the decision can never go wrong.
