In order to buy SAS Autosystemtechnik, which is situated in Germany, Samvardhana Motherson Automotive Systems Group (SMRPBV), a division of Samvardhana Motherson International (SAMIL), has signed a contract with Faurecia (SAS).

The business offers logistics and assembly services to the automobile sector. With some of the top American and European OEMs, it has enduring client ties that date back nearly three decades. For the fiscal year that concluded on December 31, 2022, the company’s gross revenues were approximately 4.4 billion euros (roughly Rs 38,667 crore) on a primary basis, with net revenues (IFRS) of 896 million euros (roughly Rs 7,875 crore), with almost half of it coming from EV programmes.

The purchase will be funded by a combination of debt and internal accruals, and the enterprise value of the business is about Rs. 4,745 crores. Employee representative consultation or information regarding the transaction is still pending.
