According to Motherson, the purchase would advance the company’s integration into the world’s automotive supply chain and expand its accessibility to customers. With its strong assembly, automation, and shipping capabilities, SAS is well-positioned to profit from the long-term trend of OEMs outsourcing module production to reliable suppliers.

The purchase will be funded by a combination of debt and internal accruals, and the enterprise value of the business is about Rs. 4,745 crores. Employee representative consultation or information regarding the transaction is still pending.
