The design discipline of user experience is a conceptualised design discipline. Its roots are in human factors and ergonomics, a field that has focused on the interaction between humans, machines, and contextual environments to design systems that address the user’s experience since the late 1940s. But what do these designers actually do?
These designers’ primary responsibility is to comprehend user behaviours, needs, and motivations through a variety of observation techniques, task analysis, and feedback methodologies. In addition, they conduct user and task analyses to identify areas for improvement in the overall user experience.

What is the current industry scenario, and what is the impact of the recent advancements in the UI UX industry?
India today is growing with many opportunities compared to other countries in the world. This growth has resulted in many new companies and start-ups.
However, due to a lack of technical skills, many big firms are outsourcing their services to India, and hence there is a direct impact on the market for UI/UX Design services.
Significant players like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, etc., are pushing for the development of applications and solutions that run on the cloud owing to its flexibility and ease of use by large corporations across different parts of the world.
What other products/solutions does QSET offer, and how are these impacting the UI UX Space?
QSET has been a pioneer in the UI/UX space. We have over ten years of experience in this line and have helped companies across different parts of the world with their UI/UX requirements.
Today, QSET is one of the most respected companies globally, with clients spread across different countries and touching different industries such as mobile applications, corporate websites, etc. We are also one of the leading companies for UI/UX design portfolios.
Our product selection process consists of brainstorming sessions where we get inputs from multiple stakeholders and ensure that they are implemented in our products. In addition, we ensure that the products are affordable and have a wide range of benefits.
Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on the impact of adopting modern technologies such as AI on the UI UX niche and what more could be expected in the future?
The adoption of modern technologies such as AI has significantly impacted the UI/UX space. This has enabled companies to provide customized designs for their customers according to their requirements.
Each product requires a different set of designs and the only way to ensure that is by incorporating AI in designing. Currently, not many companies are using AI as part of the design process.
We will soon introduce the latest and most advanced technologies in our services, including AI, making it more customized according to customers’ requirements.
Artificial Intelligence is being used in every field, be it healthcare, education, entertainment, or any other industry. This technology will make the user interface better than ever before and would make them more efficient than ever before for sure. In my opinion, the best role of AI is to make the product user experience better than before.
I think that every product needs a clear objective as they all have a different purpose. If we get an idea of what we have to achieve from the design process and then guide AI towards this purpose, it would be more efficient for the company. We are introducing new tools for product designing such as Diagrammatic Design and Cognitive Computing thinking engine, which helps make better products for our customers.
Considering the current pandemic, what initial challenges did you face, and how did you drive QSET to sustain operations while ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?
Pandemic has been the major concern for all companies in all parts of the world. The various steps we have taken and actions we have taken to ensure our employees’ safety at work are some of the most important steps we have taken for maintaining operations.
Apart from the pandemic, Challenges for us include ensuring that our customer satisfaction is 100%. We do not want to miss out on any client, and therefore, we ensure fully meeting their expectations. Our best challenge is maintaining our culture of customer satisfaction always to provide the best quality of work and timely delivery.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the UI UX space?
I would say that you need to know what you are doing. As per me, a customer is not willing to work with companies that provide incomplete work. If we keep this in mind, then there is no problem for us to offer them complete solutions and customer satisfaction.
How do you envision scaling QSET’s operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?
I always counsel my team to have at least five out of seven tools required for the company to grow. Am I successful in this? The answer would be – yes if we go back and check our numbers in 2009. Today we are among the top three UI/UX design companies in this domain.
The reason for this is not just the quality of our work but also the fact that we cover everything from concept to completion of a project which ensures complete satisfaction with results by our clients.
However, Scaling is a challenge for all companies, significantly when technology regularly changes. We want to ensure that we can provide our clients with what they want and stay ahead of the curve. We are working on various projects and research in this domain which will help us scale up our operations significantly in the coming years.
