Startup Mahakumbh is a three-day government-initiated event aiming at improving the startup ecosystem and attracting investors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the “Startup Mahakumbh” on Wednesday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This three-day event aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem and attract investors.
The event began March 18 and will end on Wednesday. The Startup Mahakumbh, co-organized by renowned industry bodies such as the Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA), has received funding from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated that “Startup Mahakumbh” is India’s largest startup event with “unprecedented participation,” providing a dynamic platform for all players in the country’s startup ecosystem. The ministry stressed its relevance in promoting growth in new areas such as DeepTech, AgriTech, BioTech, MedTech, AI, and Gaming.
– The event, which aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across the country, drew a lot of attention from top investors, inventors, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
With over 2000 startups, 1000+ investors, 100+ unicorns, 300+ incubators & accelerators, 3,000+ conference attendees, 10+ nation delegations, 3000+ future entrepreneurs, and 50,000+ business visitors, the event provided a vibrant environment for collaboration and networking, according to the ministry statement.
During the three-day event, industry executives and politicians highlighted the importance of startups in driving India’s economic development. The event had ten thematic pavilions that showcased the breadth and depth of innovation in fields such as Deeptech, AI & SaaS, Fintech, Agritech, Biotech & Pharma, Climate Tech, Gaming & E-Sports, D2C, B2B & Manufacturing, and Incubators.
A specialized exhibition area enables promising companies to demonstrate their innovative goods and services, resulting in meaningful conversations and future investor collaborations.
During interactions with DPIIT officials, participants learned about government initiatives that help startups, such as funding schemes, mentorship programs, and regulatory improvements. Experts from many sectors had thought-provoking talks about the future of Indian startups and their critical role in fueling the country’s economic growth.
