On Wednesday, the last day to accept bids, a group led by SpiceJet chairman Ajay Singh and Tata Sons placed the financial offers for Air India. The offer made by Tata Sons was through its 100% arm Talace Private Ltd. and the bids placed by Ajay Singh were in his personal capacity with a few investment funds.
Without disclosing the names of the parties, the department of investment and public asset management tweeted that the bids for Air India were received by the transaction adviser.
“Process now moves to concluding stage,” the management twitted.
Tata Sons confirmed its participation in the bidding to the Times of India.
