Leading telecom companies Airtel and Vodafone-Idea are set to raise the prices of their recharge plans from next month. The minimum recharge plan of Airtel is increased from Rs 49 to Rs 79. Tariffs in minimum corporate plans increased by 30%.

Vodafone-Idea is also planning to increase the basic prepaid plans. In Maharashtra and Gujrat, VI has reduced the validity of Rs 49 plan to 14 days. Previously, validity for the same was 28 days. This hike will benefit the telecom giants to increase average revenue per user.
