On 7th April, the $103 billion Tata group is expected to debut the much-anticipated super-app, pitting it against Amazon, Walmart, and Reliance’s Jio Platforms.
Tata Digital, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, announced its debut date on Google Play Store.
“Shopping, dining, traveling, paying bills, and earning rewards.” The message stated, ‘Coming to your phones on 7th April.’
Employees of the group, as well as their families and friends, can now use the app.
Tata Neu has been under development for a long time. As the company worked to integrate other well-known companies into the platform, it hit a number of roadblocks.
The launch was initially planned for early 2021, but it was pushed back to the second half of 2021 due to technical challenges with integrating some of the other brands.
Users can purchase tickets for group airlines Vistara and Air Asia, according to sources. Starbucks, the company’s other well-known joint venture, is likely to be included in the super-app. Users can also book accommodations at the Taj group’s numerous properties.
