VDC excels in its work, and its strong foundation has a major share of its Founder Vasant Malunjkar.
Coming from a humble background, he was a young boy working through jobs in his 20s with a dream of uplifting the rural masses through his work. Initially working for a Construction firm in Pune to owning a company with its first office in Indapur that made a revolution largely for the masses that had intent but not the direction, he decided to show his willingness to go around tough situations and put the firm at the place for what it is now.
Adding a boost to its success, the son Rohan Malunjkar followed the path laid down, completing education at a renowned college in Mumbai, Sir JJ College of Architecture, eventually joined the firm in 2016, taking the reins for the design department bringing the modern approach towards project creating the niche intended. Having an experienced background, it was yet a challenging task to blend the modern aspects.
Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies like AI and ML is impacting the Architectural Designing Solution space and how is VD Consultants adapting to the change.
The change is always baffling at first, more puzzling like walking into the unknown. We always need to work around it to get it right. As the head of the organization, we needed to go through it first to make the others comfortable with it. The impact of technologies has revolutionized the game; numerous applications, more options, and faster output are just a handful of its contributions giving end consumers a more realistic view of the future project, ultimately making it easy for clients and for us to interpret our vision clearly.
Considering the current pandemic, what initial challenges did you face, and how did you drive VD Consultants to sustain operations while ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?
Initially, challenges for us were obviously our employees’ safety. Our team has been very careful towards the work carried out. They did help us at the back end to keep our operations functioning. Working in shifts and from home was a viable option for us then; handling both offices in these situations was a task. But our team is determined to help, support at every end, and share an impeccable bond. The site visits were mainly handled by us personally, keeping our staff safe as possible. It was a demanding circumstance that we all managed bravely.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the Architectural Designing Solution space?
Being in this business thought us to have a distinctive perspective on the way this sector functions. Our advice would to the upcoming generations is to stick to the basics and never compromise on your ideas or dream to have a better future.
Also, to keep an insight for coming generations, they would have a better world to live in. it shouldn’t be about what you have now; it should always be about what we leave behind.
How do you envision scaling VD Consultants’ operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?
We are always open to a venture in the upcoming stages. Scaling a particular organization will need a strong setup and full cooperation of the team, which we are absolutely positive about. We are surely concentrating on the suitable systems, funding, technology, and potential partners to help us scale up. We are connecting with our clients adequately and building the brand. With the scaling up, we are cautious about the output, which will remain cost-effective and reasonable, so that scope of operations remains in check without taking the substantial cost and yet offering the new, improved services and a modern outlook to every project.
