With car prices rising, due to an increase in input costs, very few SUVs are available under Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Best among them, as the sales show, is the Tata Punch, priced at Rs 6.13 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry- level variant.
The Hyundai Exter is another quite affordable SUV with its price starting at Rs 6.13 lakh (ex- showroom). It is high on safety features, has a refined engine and then there is Hyundai's brand value.
The Renault Kiger price starts at Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the same platform as the Nissan Magnite and is again, very affordable.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx price starts at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex- showroom). It has a very efficient and decently powerful engine, a very spacious cabin and Maruti's strong network to aid you.
The Hyundai Venue price starts at Rs 7.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a very good car in every sense, although the cabin space is not that generous. But you will not get the Hyundai Venue, or for that matter the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, under Rs 8 lakh on the road.
Kia Sonet
You can have the Kia Sonet at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex- showroom). At that price point, it is a very good car. But like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and the Hyundai Venue, you will have to pay more than Rs 8 lakh on the road.
