Managerial mindset is an instinctive ability of believing in self and others, no matter what. There is a hunger for constant self-improvement as well as improving the situations for others. There is an intrinsic passion to overcome the challenges by making the most out of the available resources at hand.
Managers are optimistic, highly resilient, positive, reliable, and solution-oriented leaders. They are like chameleons, adapting to the changing times and circumstantial needs. Willingness to learn, adapt, take responsibility, even delegate at times, and lead by example is their persona.
They have an intrinsic concern for other people’s needs and solving problems. They are your strategic counsellors; your thinking companion in carving out the perfect business solution. They are CREFIN™ India management Pvt. Ltd. With decades of experience, they are world-renowned, leading Indian management consultants from Goa.
On our quest to find out ‘India’s Budding Consultancy Start-ups to Watch for 2022’, we came across the company’s Managing Director, Mr Jeevendra Poddar, a true management counsellor. And he amazed us with his passion, compassion and structure-oriented business approach. Given below are the highlights of his discussion with Insights Success.
Sir, please brief our audience about CREFIN™ India, its USPs, and how it is currently positioned as a leading player in the consultancy space.
Ours is one of the leading Management Consultancy companies in India, with its HQ based in Goa, India. We as management consultants, help existing businesses and start-ups to improve their performance and grow by solving their problems and finding new and better ways of doing things. We work with various sectoral organisations to help develop their services and where necessary implements cost management and guide them for savings. We are basically a thought partner to help structure the approach, bring in best practices, and generally help the clients through the difficult management issues they are facing. We sail the companies towards becoming stable, more profitable, and professionally better in their work.
We invented a unique concept of MPO™ (Management Process Outsourcing) to turn the business into overall growth. We have an expert panel of professionals in various fields. With decades of experience, they impart their advice when needed by us, for a conducive growth of the business. And they are getting better with CREFIN™ India.
What other products/solutions does CREFIN™ India offer, and how are these making an impact on the industry and your clients?
We as management consultant has been offering business houses and start-ups wide and very specific professional solutions, like professional aid for start-ups (SWOT, name selection, impactful logo designing, presentation for fund raising, etc.), start-up funding, business health, business model, project report, etc.
For e.g., Business Model: At CREFIN™ India, we believe that a robust and well-planned business model plays a vital role in the success of any company, as it explains how the business will generate revenue, and functioning of the company on a daily basis. For entrepreneurs, a perfect business model aids in acquiring investors and establishing partnerships.
Many existing businesses have the misguided notion that once they have established their business model, they should just stick to it. However, successful businesses are willing to innovate and move to new business models if required, to constantly evolve in response to new business opportunities, market trends, technology challenges, and competitors. Our expert business analysts have guided us to remould existing business models and have also helped start-ups to design a professional business model.
Being an experienced leader, share with us your opinion on what impact has the adoption of modern technologies such as AI, Big Data and machine learning had on the consultancy niche and what more could be expected in the future?
‘To err is HUMAN’ said Alexander Pope, poet of the Enlightenment from his 1711 treatise. However, in today’s world of data analytics, there is ‘NO space for Error’. One of the best advantages of adopting an AI is to have great precision and no human error.
The fact that Artificial Intelligence can automate a wide variety of tasks that can consume much of workforce working hours, along with that efficiency and accuracy of work done through AI is much faster and accurate.
The several data statistics indicate that Business Houses that leverage AI has been benefited from the enhanced operational efficiency offered by the technology and outrun their competition. I believe in the coming future; AI will be adopted by almost all the Business houses to have a proper Business Management Process optimisation and to have smooth and proper tandem between several departments of a company.
Taking into consideration the current pandemic, what initial challenges did you face and how did you drive CREFIN™ to sustain operations while ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?
The roles and responsibilities as a business leader for my company have dramatically changed in the last year. Before Covid-19, we as leaders were all focused on fostering innovations, gaining market share, and growing revenue.
Initial challenges were to make rapid decisions about controlling costs and maintaining liquidity to avoid unforeseen hindrances -like team shortages and operational challenges. All the while during initial breakout of the Pandemic till date, we are navigating Health and Safety concerns, working remotely to support families as well.
This was not an easy transition. However, we as leaders and in-charge have always been a Torchbearers, to guide our employees in the areas where they have not fully developed their skills of working remotely.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the consultancy space?
Consultancy business is a very vast space. There is room for many, however, success will be attained by those aspirants who are focused, have an exquisite decision making ability, and have the power of prioritising what’s first, resilient and thrifty.
How do you envision scaling CREFIN™’s operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?
We, at CREFIN™ India, believe that building a successful organisation is not just about growth – it’s about stability and scaling. We follow the concept of adding revenue at rapid rate, however, adding resources at an incremental rate, to have proper consistent growth and increasing margin over time.
Adding resources as we grow is parallel to the rate at which we add revenue for hiring more and more people to serve. The addition of more revenue means an addition of more cost. To ascertain scaling growth, we constantly innovate our business model. Also, we design our organisation in a way that easily scales, in order to generate consistent revenue growth. Moreover, we avoid obstruction points without adding extra costs or resources along the way.
Our offerings already cover almost all the requirements of a start-up or an existing business house. Our flagship service of MPO™ (Management Process Outsourcing) is one of a kind. Outsourcing is one of the keys to success. Apart from giving us the most important commodity i.e., TIME, it also reduces and controls operational costs. It further helps in gaining access to world-class capabilities and extraordinary professionals. Our focus is to make maximum companies aware of Business Health Check (available at our website www.crefinindia.com for both Start-ups as well as Existing Business Houses) and how beneficial it is for the overall growth of the company.
