When you find yourself torn apart by your hectic life, stress, hypertension, overload, depression, anxiety, and all the negative things that could affect a person, it means the Five Elements—Wood, Earth, Fire, Water, Metal—forming everything in the universe and your body are in complete disarray.
To bring them into the Centre and rejuvenate you, Yash Mukand, the Corporate Trainer, Wellness Coach, a certified Yoga Practitioner and Life Coach, creates and leads workshops addressing workplace stress at its core. By collaborating with organizations and individuals, Yash helps enhance productivity through a holistic approach combining ancient practices like yoga and meditation with modern tools like NLP and psychology. Yash says, “My goal is to empower people to lead more balanced, fulfilling lives.”
Yash’s vision is to help you live a thoughtful, happy life by following your heart’s calling. He wants to give the world what he learned through his life journey. “Don’t obsess over the result too much; it’s only a byproduct of your hard work. Accept failure as naturally as you have accepted victory,” is his mantra.
Yash’s own story is worth telling. He did job after job and worked endlessly, which left him stressed, depressed, and confused. He recalls, “As the stress and pressure piled up, my mental and physical health began to suffer. I was constantly exhausted and felt on the verge of burnout. I was also struggling with depression and felt like I had no one to turn to for help.”
Finally, Yash knew he had to make a change. He quit his job in 2015 and took some time to focus on himself and his well-being. “It was a tough decision but the best one for me.”
That’s when his career took a 360-degree turn. He began to focus on his overall well-being and enrolled in classes and workshops in life coaching, yoga, meditation, and psychology. These helped him to be more present and to re-evaluate his life values. He adds, “Since working that 24-hour shift at the hotel, I haven’t returned to my old me. The change was so profound that I changed my name from Atul to Yash.”
Yesh spoke in an exclusive interview with CIOLook India, where he elaborated on his brainchild, Five Elements Centre and everything else. The highlights of that refreshing discussion are given herein.
As a trailblazer in the wellness industry, could you take us back to the beginning of your journey? What motivated you to step into this dynamic field?
In 2017, my journey started as a corporate trainer. But I wanted more—to make a real impact on people’s lives. So, I learned new things like yoga, meditation, healing, and life coaching. I teamed up with energetic and inspiring people to form a group we can call our own.
The turning point came when I was feeling lost in my own life. That’s when it hit me—I wanted to help millions of people so they wouldn’t have to go through the struggles I faced.
Now, I’m not just doing my thing alone. I’ve got a solid team with me. My goal is simple: to inspire and change lives. I want to create a world where people don’t have to endure tough times like I did.
I aim to create a world where everyone can rise above challenges and live their best lives.
So far, my team and I have conducted more than 3000 sessions in more than 30 cities in India and impacted more than 30,000 people.
Five Elements Centre has emerged as one of India’s most recommended wellness centres to watch. Could you share the guiding philosophy that has propelled your organization’s success?
My belief is simple: I live by what I say. I lead a straightforward life in a village and city in Gurugram. I love chatting with locals, getting milk, and growing veggies on my farm. I avoid social media and follow a simple lifestyle—doing yoga, meditating, and eating only homemade meals. I work from my heart, and that authenticity connects with people. They see that I practice what I preach, and it resonates with them, making a positive impact.
The wellness landscape is continually evolving. How do you ensure that your company remains adaptable and ahead of industry trends, providing health and fitness solutions to the market?
We’re expanding, and our latest website, https://www.fiveelementscentre.com/, is a hub for wellness experiences. We’re not just offering workshops for businesses but for everyone.
Our team has psychology, yoga, Ayurveda specialists, and even ex-army personnel. Additionally, we’re bringing wellness products such as pure cow ghee, traditional kansa and brass utensils, and healing crystals to promote positivity and overall well-being.
Sustainability and environmental responsibility are crucial aspects of the modern wellness industry. How does your company integrate these principles into its operations and contribute to a sustainable future?
We organize nature walks in the Aravali forest in Gurugram to raise awareness about environmental conservation and help people connect with nature. We also incorporate meditation sessions in the serene forest surroundings during these walks.
The wellness industry goes beyond the physical aspects, touching on safety, hygiene, fitness, and well-being. How does your centre address these critical factors in its service offerings?
Our programs are designed to enhance employee well-being across all dimensions—physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Taittiriya Upanishad, we aim to holistically address the five koshas, or layers of being, fostering a balanced and harmonious work environment. By the Upanishad, these layers are the Body Layer (Annamaya kosha), Breath Layer (Pranamaya kosha), Mind Layer (Manomaya kosha), Intellect Layer (Vijnanamaya kosha), and Soul Layer (Anandamaya kosha). By aligning these layers, we guide individuals towards happiness and fulfilment. We strongly believe embracing a comprehensive and harmonious life is the key to unlocking each employee’s full potential and achieving their aspirations.
Looking to the future, what is your vision for Five Elements Centre? How do you aspire to continue making a significant impact on India’s wellness landscape?
We aspire to broaden our horizons by transforming our business into more than just a wellness centre. Our vision involves evolving into a comprehensive mental health centre, offering counselling, psychological assessments, and guidance. We plan to integrate wellness workshops tailored for both individuals and companies. By taking this approach, we aim to create a substantial impact on the wellness landscape in India. Our goal is to provide physical well-being and prioritize mental health, recognizing the crucial connection between the two. Through these expanded services, we hope to contribute significantly to enhancing the overall wellness and mental health support available to individuals and organizations in our community.
What workshops are you offering to the individuals and companies in special events?
At the Five Elements Centre, we present two primary packages designed for individuals. The first is our Wellness Pass, encompassing 12 workshops per month. This inclusive package features diverse activities, including five distinct types of yoga: Crystal sound healing meditation, full moon meditation, self-care techniques, guidance on maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and invigorating nature walks.
Our second offering is an exclusive Chakra Healing Program uniquely tailored for Indians. This program distinguishes itself by addressing mental, physical, and emotional blocks in the body and mind, providing an authentic and comprehensive healing experience.
Additionally, for corporate clients, we extend specialized Corporate Training Programs and Workplace Wellbeing Programs to foster a healthy and productive work environment.
