GOI is contemplating to revise its policy regarding Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). If it does happen then it will surely change the rules of doing business for major e-commerce players like Amazon and Walmart’s Flipkart, again.
Both majors were already hit hard by a similar kind of move in December 2018 which restricted foreign e-commerce companies from selling products of sellers who shares equity with these players.
There are already complaints reaching to the GOI from other local online and offline retailers which blames the foreign giants of bypassing rules by creating a complex selling mechanism.
