Paytm has disbursed loans valuing ₹ 7,300 crores in Q2FY23, thereby registering a significant 482% year-on-year growth. Paytm, the Indian digital payments and financial services company has disbursed 9.2 million loans in the second quarter between July and September 2022, amounting to approximately ₹ 7,313 Cr ($894 Mn), according to the company’s regulatory filings with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The filings revealed that Paytm’s loan valuations in Q2 FY23 reached a massive 482% YoY, while its loan disbursals surged to 224% year-on-year (YoY). In the same second quarter of the last year that ended September 2021, Paytm had disbursed 2.84 million loans amounting to ₹1,257 crores.
So far in this year 2022, the stock market-listed fintech giant has disbursed more than 24.2 million loans amounting to ₹16,420 crores. Paytm announced that its average Monthly Transacting Users (MTU) was 79.7 million in the quarter ending September 2022, registering a growth of 39% YoY. Paytm Money saw a phenomenal rise to 14+ million users.
Paytm’s merchant payment volumes reached ₹3.18 lakh crores rising by 63% YoY. Paytm deployed 4.8 lakh devices of Point of Sales (POS) and Sound boxes.
