Sea Trails INS Anvesh

India’s sea trails of the first floating test range, INS Anvesh are set to start from this month with the ship expected to be commissioned in the next two month. Designed by the Defence Research and Development Organization and built by Cochin shipyard, the ship will be used to test missiles up to the range of 1500 km deep inside the Indian Ocean without creating any sea traffic as well as land mass limitation.

On September 10, with ballistic missile tracking ship INS Dhruv being handed over to National Research Technical Organization India is expected to commission at least four ships this year.
