The Maharashtra Government has been requesting people to maintain social distancing, avoid unnecessary travel and to make a habit of wearing masks whenever going out. As the cases have jumped to over 22,000, strict lockdown measures and curfews will be enforced in several parts of Maharashtra.
The guardian minister of Nagpur has already announced strict lockdown in the city from 15 to 21 March. Meanwhile, night restrictions and curbs have been imposed in Pune, and lockdown on weekends in Aurangabad district.
Restrictions have also been imposed on movement in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Nagpur, Yavatmal, Akola, Washim, Nashik, Dombivli, Navi Mumbai and Buldhana.
